La cuvée Dry Riesling 2019 présente des arômes et saveurs éclatantes de citron vert, de pêche, de silex, de fenouil et d’ananas grillé. Un beau et succulent riesling sec qui offre un bel équilibre et une belle tension grâce à une acidité bien intégrée.

"The 2019 Dry Riesling is a roughly equal blend of Seneca Lake's 16 Falls and White Springs vineyards (with just a dollop from Keuka Lake). It's dry (four grams of sugar, with 9.2 grams of total acidity) and comes in at 12.5% alcohol. This drinks well, perhaps thanks to having that extra year of bottle aging. The acidity, though evident, is well integrated and countered by the fruit. There's plenty of power, but it is never shrill. The juicy finish is also filled with fruit. This is a super Dry Riesling and a nice bargain. It should age well and develop more, but it is going to be hard to resist this summer."

"Still a little shy, but the aromas of mirabelle and aromatic apple are enticing. Light, cool and restrained personality. This is an elegant dry Finger Lakes riesling with excellent balance. A touch of fine tannin underlies the very clean finish. Drink or hold."

Morten a également été le pionnier du style Riesling sec et minéral qui est depuis devenu le vin phare des Finger Lakes. La cave s’est considérablement développée au cours des 18 dernières années et, bien que petite à l’échelle internationale, Ravines possède 52 hectares (130 acres) de vignobles de premier ordre.

Aux Etats-Unis 90% du vin produit vient du Californie avec une production de 22.3 millions d’hectolitres. La première exploitation viticole de Californie est fondée en 1769 par le missionnaire franciscain Junípero Serra, près de San Diego.
